about success

"Sure i m that this day we are masters of our fate,that the task which has been set before us is not above our strength ; that its pangs and toils are beyond my endurance. As long as we have faith in our cause and an unconqerable will to will, victory will not be denied us"

What is victory? Success?

I once thought to myself success is when I grow into a better individual every passing day, I seem to succeed... but in reality I dont really think so...

Success is when u have the clothes u always wanted to have, the dimond ring that u always dreamt of, when u win over the prof who always hated you, when u win over a friend who never really loved u... On top of that success is when u can really let things be... when you can forgive.

I had this realization today, and I am trying to digest this new philomat (Materialistic+ philosophical) concept of sucsess

On planes of waters

11/26/08 (Ulsoor Lake B'lore)

The plane of the water is like a page on which Phrases and even sentences are written,

But because of the breeze,and the turning of the year, And the sense that this lake water, as it is being Experienced on a particular day,comes from some source somewhere , beneath, within, itself.

Its pure origination somewhere else.

It is like an idea for a poem not yet written.

And maybe never to be completed, because The surface of the page is like lake water, That takes back what is written on its surface, And all my language about the lake and its Emotions or its sweet obliviousness, Or even its being like an origination, Is all erased with the changing of the breeze

Or because of the heedless passing of a cloud.

When,moments after the sun died,I looked into her face, it was as untelling as something natural, A lake, say,the surface of it unreadable, Its sources of meaning unfindable anymore. Her eyes were open as if she had something to say.But maybe my saying so is a figure of speech or maybe not.

At times I have thought and rethought of this process and tried to do it but it has always been a tough task to do so. But yes this does help us to get rid of feelings of hatred towards people, and of accepting life’s various flavors

The accommodator or giving up point: there is always an event in our lives that is responsible for us failing to progress: a trauma, a particularly bitter defeat, a disappointment in love, even victory that we did not quite understand, can make cowards of us and prevents us from moving on. As part of the process of increasing his hidden powers the shaman must free himself from that giving up point and to do so, he must review his whole life find out where it occurred.

It is the direction that matters, not the speed. If you are evolving into a more loving, more compassionate, less violent person, you are moving in the right direction.

Progress is not always linear.

Karma and Lessons
We have debts that must be paid. If we have not paid out these debts, then we must take them into another life… in order that they may be worked through. You progress by paying your debts. Some souls progress faster than others, if something interrupts your ability… to pay that debt you must return to the plan of recollection, and there you must wait until the soul you owe the debt to has come to see you.

And when you both can be returned to physical form at the same time, then you are allowed to return. But you determine when you are going back. You determine what must be done to pay that debt.

There will be many life times to fulfill all of the agreements and all the debts that are owed.

When you look into the eyes of another and you see yours own soul looking back at you (something very familiar), then you will know you have reached another level of consciousness.

We yearn for the illusion of security instead of the security of wisdom and love.

The rest of us continue to ask for rewards- rewards and justifications for our behavior… when there are no rewards that we want.

The reward is in doing, but doing without expecting anything… doing unselfishly.
